A first glance at the Morgan Hotel Group's Mondrian SoHo Hotel & Imperial No. Nine

his month the newly opened Mondrian SoHo Hotel debuted Imperial No. Nine a 150-seat sustainable seafood restaurant by chef Sam Talbot.  Imperial No. Nine's unique restaurant space, features an indoor/outdoor bar and a unique "Green House" dining room (pictured above).  Note the beautiful glass sculpture centerpiece crafted by artist Beth Lipman which is a reference to Jean Cocteaus 1946 movie "la Belle et la Bete."  Allusions to this film are interspersed throughout the new hotel.

The meeting and event capabilities at the SoHo Mondrian are quite impressive.  The hotel features a 1,170 square foot Penthouse with a large 1,100 square foot terrace (pictured above) and a 1,100 square foot meeting space called The Gallery (also above).

The Mondrian SoHo Hotel's official opening party is slated for March 10th.
