The Great Places @Venue Czar, Stephen Fried, has been out and about and here’s what he’s seen and heard…

Affirmation Arts is a contemporary arts complex that doubles as a luxury venue.  Located in Manhattan’s Hudson Yards, this modern building features spaces that are both expansive and intimate, and perfect for all types of events.

Housed in an 1881 landmark building in Brooklyn Heights, the Brooklyn Historical Society offers space with elegant columns and soaring ceilings. The location is perfect for corporate and social events, and according to the Venue Czar, “…it’s a great looking, Old World space.”  @BrooklynHistory.

Haus Night Club  “seems to be hopping,” says Venue Czar.  It's located in the old Brunner Building, which was once the home of the legendary Canal Room.  The multi-tiered venue has been completely transformed and is perfect for an elegant event or evening out.  Nicole Gordon is the events director.

The Martha Washington Hotel (part of the Chelsea Hotel Group) is a new venue with more than 7,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting, event and private dining space equipped with state-of-the-art technology.  Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group provides the catering, and private events can be held at his Roman-inspired trattoria, Marta, located inside the hotel’s lobby.  All events are under the direction of Mario Enser.  @MarthaWNYC.
