Last fall, experienced restaurateurs Larry Poston, Johnny Swet, and David Rabin opened the rooftop space Jimmy at the James New York. Since its unveiling, Jimmy has become one of NY’s hottest event spaces with celebrities such as James Franco, Courtney Love, and Gerard Butler frequenting the venue and hosting events there.

Given the creative talent behind Jimmy, it is little wonder that the space is such a success. The venue was meticulously designed by James Beard Winner Thomas Schlesser to be a year round destination inspired by the “1970’s style classic pub.” Each detail of the 1,200 square foot indoor space, excludes warmth, from the leather-trimmed bar to the working fireplace. Views at Jimmy are equally enticing with Arco lamps bookending 360-degree views of both the Hudson and East River. Such unobstructed vistas are an impressive feat considering that Jimmy is only on the 18th floor of the James Hotel.

Partner Johnny Swet carefully selected the cocktail menu at Jimmy. Signature cocktails include the Jezebel which is a combination of nine botanical syrups mixed with Champagne; and the Mexican Honey Bee, comprised of tequila, lavender syrup, lime juice, and raw honey. For private events, the drink menu as well as catering from David Burke Kitchen can be customized to meet your needs. The space can accommodate a total of 130 guests for private events and is available for buyouts.
