Opened in 2016, Italienne offers two distinct dining experiences both rooted in Northern Italian and Southern French cuisine and culture. In Italy, nearly every fine-dining ristorante has a complementary osteria. The two share a symbiotic relationship, offering guests a choice of dining experiences. This enables a chef to cook with as little waste as possible. Italienne is bringing this to fruition right here in New York City.
The restaurant’s front Taverna is a lively space offering a la carte dishes and small plates, with a stunning marble bar as its focal point. Rustic meets elegance in the back Dining Room where guests can enjoy Chef Jared Sippel’s a la carte menu or Chef’s tasting menu for a more curated experience. Chef Sippel’s cuisine highlights the best products of the season and focuses on our close relationships with our purveyors.
On Monday evenings, Italienne offers a weekly-changing series featuring a three-course menu designed to showcase the cuisine of a region of inspiration.
